Hope

Many say it's paralyzing. I would agree at times. When you have hope in something and it turns out the way you "hoped," you can learn to believe in hope. But when you believe and hope and pray so hard and it doesn't turn out in your favor, it can change you. It can kill you. Most of the times, when you have hope, you do not have proof. You are willing to risk everything just to prove that there's something to hope.

Hope can be relieving. It can give you a light. But let's say the light blew, yo stop hoping. Then what are you? A hollow shell, a lost soul. What are any of us if we didn't hope or believe? Would people of color still be sitting in the back of the bus? Who would Dr. King Jr. be if he didn't "Have a Dream"? Hope is a light, and also a shot in the dark. But mostly thought of as the light in the dark.

Sound vs. Silence

Sound fills the silence. If there were no sound, silence would fill our hearts, homes, schools, lives, and the world. If there were no silence, there would be no thought. Silence is thought's admission into the world. Sound is thought's admission out. Silence is pleasurable, but sound is also admirable. There are many beautiful sounds. There are crickets chirping, the waves crashing, our your favorite song. There are also many bad sounds but I rather not get into it. In my opinion, the sound of voice is the most honorable because it's something to fight for. The good kind of silence is when you can't transfer your thoughts into words. The bad kind of silence is when you feel you're not permitted to. Another bad silence is when you don't want to. Although, that's rarely necessary.

Rain Rain, Here to Stay

so many plans

frankly, i had none at all

but now i don't have a choice

but to watch the rain fall

sitting at my window

waiting for it to stop

wondering what the angels are feeling

as they cry their millions of teardrops

the sky is dark
my feelings are gray
everything  quickly turns to night
as i long for the return of day

as rainfall continues
and nightfall begins
experience the rain
and be cleansed of your sins

How Do You Make the Tears Stop

you cry

you keep crying

what will you do now

when your smile's dying

just keep crying

till you go numb

you get so tired

so tired of trying

fake a smile

everything's okay

just in time

to join the truth in exile

let the tears drop

seems like they just won't stop
